The course is intended for the students from different fields such as mathematical, physical and engineering sciences to learn the current issues based on computational biology and bioinformatics. The Topics includes methods of measure regarding locations of protein and DNA interaction, the gene expression through microarrays and sequencing and its principles, the applications of the above techniques that are used in gene regulation study, approaches related to the mapping of genes through association studies. More emphasis is given on statistical and computations in the above studies. Also, assignments include weekly paper reading and a final project.
