Problem: A square has a side of length 4 m. Find the area of the
circle passing through the vertices of the square.
Solution: Diagonal of the square = diameter of the circle
∴ Diameter of the circle = side of the square × √2
= 4 √2 m
∴ Area of the circle passing through the vertices of the square
= π × (4√2/2)2
=8π square meters.
