Box A contains 30% first grade articles. Box B contains 40 % first grade articles.
One article is drawn from each box. What is the probability that both articles
drawn are first grade will yield at least one hit?

Solution: Probability of drawing first grade articles from box A = P(A) 30/100 = 3/10

Probability of drawing first grade articles from box B = P(B) = 40/100 = 4/10 = 2/5

Probability of both articles being first grade = P(A) . P(B) = 3/10 x 2/5 = 3/25
