Question: The manufacture of a costume-made 3-blade wind turbine provides the curves shown in the figure as part of its specifications. The turbine is designed to operate at constant Cp regime of 0.4 for all wind velocities above the cut in velocity. The turbine is to operate on the left side of maximum power coefficent. When the wind velocity is 10.5 m/s , the turbine produces a torque of 30 KN-m. Determine the torque provided by the turbine for wind velocities 8.5 m/s and 6.5 m/s.
